Wildling

Wildlings are viewed by society as an uncivilized lot who do little more than raid and pillage when they venture from their homes into a new region. It is then the duty of the wildling to either live up to this stereotype or quell it with his or her actions, even if doing so amounts to nothing in the end.

Skill Proficiencies: Animal Handling, either Intimidate or Persuasion
Tool Proficiencies: Herbalism kits, woodcarver’s tools
Equipment: A staff, a hunting trap, a trophy from an animal you killed, a set of traveler’s clothes, and a belt pouch containing 10 gp.

Feature: Wilderness Secrets

Choose one type of terrain: arctic, coast, desert, forest, grassland, mountain, swamp, or the Underdark. You know the secret patterns and flow when in your chosen terrain and can find passages or safe locations within the terrain that others would miss. When you are not in combat, you (and companions you lead) can travel across your chosen terrain twice as fast as your speed would normally allow.

Suggested Characteristics

Wildlings are always fiercely devoted to something, be it a clan, a god, or a purpose. They honor their ways more heartily than most and live by them, for good or ill.
