Bounty Hunter

When a notorious criminal escapes the talons of the law, sometimes the only recourse is to place a bounty on their head. Other times, powerful nobles will put a prize on the head of enemy or outlaw. Bounty hunters find them and bring them, dead or alive depending on the terms of the reward and the target’s cooperation.

Dangerous Game

Starting at 3rd level, as an action, you can designate one individual as your collar. You gain advantage on Wisdom (Survival), Wisdom (Insight), and Intelligence ability checks related to your collar. You lose those benefits when you choose a new collar. You must finish a short or long rest to use this feature again.

Additional Languages

You gain proficiency in one humanoid language (Elvish, Goblin, et cetera).

Natural Explorer

Starting at 3rd level, you are particularly familiar with one type of natural environment and are adept at traveling and surviving in such regions. Choose one type of favored terrain: arctic, coast, desert, forest, grassland, mountain, or swamp. When you make an Intelligence or Wisdom check related to your favored terrain, your proficiency bonus is doubled if you are using a skill that you’re proficient in.

While traveling for an hour or more in your favored terrain, you gain the following benefits:

  • Difficult terrain doesn’t slow your group’s travel.
  • Your group can’t become lost except by magical means.
  • Even when you are engaged in another activity while traveling (such as foraging, navigating, or tracking), you remain alert to danger.
  • If you are traveling alone, you can move stealthily at a normal pace.
  • When you forage, you find twice as much food as you normally would.
  • While tracking other creatures, you also learn their exact number, their sizes, and how long ago they passed through the area.

You choose additional favored terrain types at 9th and 13th level.

Waylay

Starting at 3rd level, you can sneak attack with a one-handed melee weapon that deals bludgeoning damage, even if it does not have the finesse property.

Weapon Proficiencies

You are proficient with the lasso and net.

Hamstring

Starting at 9th level, when you deal sneak attack damage to a creature, its movement rate is reduced by 10 feet (minimum 0 feet) until the end of its next turn. This penalty is not cumulative.

Sudden Ambush

Starting at 13th level, you have advantage on attacks against your quarry if they have not yet acted in this combat. If your quarry is surprised, any hit by you is a critical hit.

Tenacious Fury

Starting at 17th level, when you make an attack against your quarry, roll 1d6 and add it to your attack roll.
