Brewer Artisan Specialization

Like all things gnomish, gnome brewers are not merely responsible for making spirits.

Tool Proficiency

When you adopt this specialization at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with brewer’s supplies. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan’s tools of your choice.

Advanced Brewing

At 3rd level, using an action, brewer’s supplies, and 1 point from your Repair Pool, you can create a mundane alchemical and alcoholic beverages item weighing 0.1 lb., or 10 points from your Repair Pool per lb. You can allocate your points in any fashion you choose to create multiple items, but each different items requires an action. You can create the following items, but your Game Master may allow others.

Alchemical Item Weight
Ale, Gallon 1 lb.
Ale, Mug 1 lb.
Flask, Alchemist’s Fire 1 lb.
Flask, Oil 1 lb.
Vial, Acid 1 lb.
Vial, Perfume 0.1 lb.
Wine, Common 1 lb.
Wine, Fine 1 lb.

At 3rd level, whenever you finish a long rest, you can produce a brew in an empty flask you touch. You can create any ingested poison of gp in value equal to the points you expend from your Repair Pool * 10, which is triggered when someone drinks the brew. When you do so, you use your action to create the brew in an empty flask you touch. Creating a brew requires you to have brewer’s supplies on your person and any brew you create with this feature lasts until it is used or until the end of your next long rest. When you reach certain levels in this class, you can make more brews at the end of a long rest: two at 6th level and three at 14th level. Each brew requires its own flask.

At 5th level, you’ve developed masterful command of magical chemicals. Whenever you inflict damage that is acid, fire, or poison and have your brewer’s supplies on your person, you gain an additional bonus to damage equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of +1).

Strange Brew

Starting at 9th level, you can brew concoctions that are much more potent than their mundane equivalents. By using your Brew Concoction to Brew Poison feature, the liquid you produce inflicts an additional 1d6 points of damage per round for a number of rounds equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of once). You add your Lethal Concoction bonus to this damage each round.

You can also brew alcohol that has pain-numbing effects, causing the imbiber to gain 1d6 temporary hit points each round for a number of rounds equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of once). These temporary hit points do not stack and you keep only the highest number of temporary hit points at any one time (until you take damage that reduces them).

Master Brewer

At 15th level, you have been exposed to so many chemicals that they pose little risk to you. You gain resistance to acid damage and poison damage, you are now immune to the poisoned condition, and have advantage on Constitution saving throws.
