Circle of the Songbird

The Circle of the Songbird is made up of artists, musicians, and lore keepers who safeguard druidic knowledge and traditions through songs, storytelling, and musical compositions. Their meetings are always held outside under the open sky, and they shun the use of bird feathers as accoutrements in fashion. Members of this circle are beacons of hope, just as the return of the birds each spring symbolizes rebirth and joyous days to come.

Bonus Cantrip

When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you learn either the light or messenger cantrip.

Bonus Proficiency

Starting at 2nd level, you gain proficiency with one of the following: the longbow, Performance skill checks, or one wind musical instrument.

Circle Spells

Your mystical connection to songbirds manifests itself in certain spells that inspire hope, captivate hearts, and breathe new life. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to circle spells. Once you gain access to a circle spell, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nevertheless a druid spell for you.

Circle of the Songbird
Cleric Level Spells
3rd calm emotions, enthrall
5th beacon of hope, tongues
7th aura of purity, freedom of movement
9th greater restoration, reincarnate

Morning Has Broken

Starting at 6th level, you can cast daylight as an innate spell.

You can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.

Serenade of Good Tidings

When you reach 10th level, as a bonus action on your turn, you can select one creature within 30 feet that you can see and who can hear you. You whistle a short tune to grant the creature advantage on attack rolls for 1 minute. During this time, the creature can’t be frightened.

You can’t use this feature again until you either finish a long rest or spend two uses of your wild shape feature to activate it.

Born Aloft

By 14th level, you gain the ability to sprout a pair of feathered wings from your back, gaining a fly speed equal to your current speed. You can create these wings as a bonus action on your turn. They last for 10 minutes or until you dismiss them as a bonus action on your turn. Whenever you are flying using this feature and you are required to make a Dexterity saving throw, you gain advantage on the roll. You can’t manifest your wings while wearing armor unless the armor is made to accommodate them, and clothing not made to accommodate your wings might be destroyed when you manifest them. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.
