Circle of the Swarm

First and foremost, members of the Circle of the Swarm value cooperation. They believe there is safety in numbers, a community is only as strong as its weakest link, and the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one. Bees are viewed as one of nature’s most invaluable gifts by this circle, and most members have been trained as keepers of bees at some point in their Druidic studies. The Circle of the Swarm teaches fighting techniques that favor team tactics rather than one-on-one combat. Though these druids can hold their own in a fight, they are well aware of the mantra “you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar,” and to that end, they are instructed in the subtle art of persuasion as a method of achieving their goals before resorting to their heavy sticks.

Bonus Proficiency When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you either gain proficiency with a poisoner’s kit or with the Persuasion skill.

Potent Poisoner

When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you deal 1 extra hit point of poison damage per damage die with spells you cast that deal poison damage, and you gain advantage on saving throws against poison.

Circle Spells

Your mystical connection to swarming creatures such as ants, bees, wasps, spiders, termites, and locusts manifests itself in certain spells that are laced with poison or that offer an alternative means of locomotion. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to circle spells. Once you gain access to a circle spell, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nevertheless a druid spell for you.

Circle of the Swarm
Cleric Level Spells
3rd mirror image, spider climb
5th fly, stinking cloud
7th confusion, giant insect
9th cloudkill, insect plague

Pheromonal Awareness

Starting at 6th level, you can use your heightened awareness of smell to detect creatures rather than relying purely on your eyesight. You gain blindsight out to 60 feet.

Poison Resistance

When you reach 10th level, you gain resistance to poison.

Swarm Mentality

You prefer to fight as a member of a team and gain confidence in the proximity of your allies. At 14th level, whenever you make an attack roll while you are adjacent to an ally, you gain a bonus on the roll equal to +1. For every additional ally that is also adjacent to you, the bonus increases by +1, to a maximum of +3.
