Gravitic

The relative proximity of space in the Aethera System, and the physics of interstellar travel through both science and magic have unlocked some of the fundamental mysteries of the anchoring force of gravity. Some wield that force via magic or aethertech. Others, such as gravitics, spend time in space training in weightless environments, and practice their combat maneuvers in artificial gravity, honing their tactics with brutal, extraterrestrial efficacy. Gravitic fighters act as shock troops, tactical vanguards, or even as mercenary enforcers in private security forces or criminal organizations.

Regardless of their role or even their stature, gravitics know it’s not the size of the weapon or the wielder, but the force behind it that counts.

Inertial Savant

At 3rd level, you can use your understanding of force and motion to resist attempts to move or trip you. You gain advantage on any saving throws or ability checks needed to stop any effect from forcibly moving you or knocking you prone.

Centrifugal Swing

Starting at 7th level, when you are wielding a melee weapon with the heavy property, you add your proficiency bonus to all damage rolls made with that weapon.

Impactful Strike

At 10th level, whenever you deal damage with a melee weapon with the heavy property, you can roll the damage dice twice and choose the better result.

Gravitational Strikes

Starting at 15th level, whenever you attack a creature with a melee weapon with the heavy property, you can use a reaction to switch your damage type to force damage.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier. The usages of this ability reset once you take a long rest.

Gravity’s Avalanche

At 18th level, whenever you attack a creature from an elevated position (such as a sloping hill, stairs, or if you are flying over them) using a melee weapon with the heavy property, you score a critical hit on a roll of 18 to 20 and roll your damage dice a third time when calculating the critical hit damage.
