Shadow Hunter

Some rangers following the Hunter archetype on Aldea stalk the forces of Shadow itself. These Shadow Hunters gain access to the following additional trait options.

Hunter’s Prey

At 3rd level, you have access to the following additional feature.

Empowered Strikes. Your melee weapon attacks against your favored foes are considered magical for overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks.

Defensive Tactics

At 7th level, you have access to the following additional feature.

Spurn Shadow. You have resistance to necrotic damage and advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened by fiends or shadowspawn.

Multiattack

At 11th level, you have access to the following additional feature.

Strike Summoner. When you hit a magically summoned creature with an attack, the creature’s summoner must succeed on a Wisdom save (DC 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus) or suffer the attack’s damage as well through sympathetic feedback.

Superior Hunter’s Defense

At 15th level, you have access to the following additional feature.

Cast Off the Occult. You have advantage on saving throws against occult uses of spells (see The Occult in Chapter XI) and against all spells cast by fiends and undead.
