The Autumn King

At the creation of the world, the Autumn King learned things no one who has not gazed into the darkness of the void can truly understand. Although he returned from madness thanks to the care of the other gods, he was forever changed by the experience.

Expanded Spell List

The Autumn King lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Autumn King Expanded Spells
Spell Level Spells
1st False life, shield
2nd Gentle repose, lesser restoration
3rd Revivify, speak with dead
4th Death ward, stoneskin
5th Commune with nature, mislead

Walk Through Shadow

Starting at 1st level, you can cast a version of the sanctuary spell without any need for components. The spell targets only yourself, and only affects fiends, shadowspawn, and undead. Once you have used this trait, you cannot use it again until you have finished a short or long rest.

Tempered Soul

At 6th level, you patron grants you resistance to psychic and necrotic damage.

Arise

At 10th level, when you drop to 0 hit points, you may choose to spend as many of your available Hit Dice as you wish. Roll those dice and regain that many hit points. You regain expended Hit Dice after finishing a long rest, as usual.

Vision of Shadow

At 14th level, you can invoke a terrible vision within a foe. Choose a creature you can see within 120 feet of you. That creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spellcasting DC or be blinded for one minute. While blinded, the creature is confronted by visions of the worst aspects of its nature. At the end of each of the creature’s turns, they must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or take 4d10 psychic damage. A successful saving throw ends the effect. If the creature is reduced to 0 hit points by the psychic damage, it is knocked out rather than killed. Fiends, shadowspawn, and creatures that are Lost to Shadow are immune to this trait, as are creatures immune to psychic damage.
