The Goat with a Thousand Young

Your patron sees your simple human form and offers you its milk and more. A creature beyond mortal ken has attached itself to your body. You carry this creature on you as it whispers secrets directly from the master, who give you power, but not directly control. One day if you impress Dark Goat enough, maybe you will be given more authority than to just be the marionette whose strings are pulled.

Symbiote Expended Spells

The Goat with a Thousand Young lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Symbiote Stamina

Starting at level 1, your patron provides you with a symbiote. The symbiote is closely tied to you. The symbiote does have benefits, however, as you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to double your warlock level after a short rest or one hour of non-combat.

Armor of the Symbiote

Starting at 6th level, the symbiote takes pity on your poor, frail form. It forms a hardened armor around you providing resistance to one type of physical damage (bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing) as well as resistance to one energy damage type of your choice. Each day you may change the type of physical and energy damage you are resistant to after a long rest.

Survival without the Symbiote

Starting at 10th level, the symbiote will release you when it has been severely damaged and the master has finally given you enough responsibility to know some of the simplest spells. If you are reduced to 0 hit points, you immediately return to your max hit points as the symbiote dies instead. You may now only cast level 1 and cantrip spells. You do not gain temporary hit points as before or gain resistance to damage from your symbiote ability but you have access to your eldritch invocation. You are restricted in your spell casting until midnight where the master will appear before you and provide you with a new symbiote. He or she may be angry with the death of the symbiote, at the GM’s discretion.

Symbiote Dual Casting

When you reach 14th level, you have finally proved yourself to the master and have been given full access to your spells and the powers of the symbiote. A number of times per day equal to your Charisma modifier you and your symbiote can both cast a spell as one action, ignoring the usual limits to number of spells cast per turn. You regain all the uses of this ability after a long rest.
