Way of the Crystal Hand

The way of the crystal hand monk is attuned to the fluctuating flow of planes and realities around them. Through intense meditation they have learned to view the world as one of many, seeing between the various mirror worlds to find the slight differences between them. They can exert their will to briefly interfere with the operation of those worlds and the mirror versions of the people within them, splitting and shattering the laws of the Material Plane as if it were shards of a broken mirror.

Mirror Palm Martial Arts

3rd-level Crystal Hand feature

When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 1 ki point to project crystal copies of yourself when you attack, allowing you to make melee weapon attacks against creatures within 30 feet of you as if you were adjacent to them. This effect lasts until the end of your turn. If a creature uses a reaction to react to any of your attacks that would normally target an attacker, you are not considered within range unless your physical body is close enough to them.

You may spend 1 ki point after hitting a creature with such an attack to choose to remain in a space adjacent to them, stepping through space to take the place of your crystal copy.

Arcane Reflection

6th-level Crystal Hand feature

Whenever you are targeted by a spell or magical effect that targets only you and you roll a natural 20 on your saving throw against it, you can use your reaction to create an arcane mirror to reflect that magic back at its source. The origin of the effect or spell must save as if they were targeted with the effect, using either the original spell save DC or your Ki save DC (whichever is higher). If the triggering spell requires concentration, you can spend 2 ki points when reflecting it to assume concentration of the effect as if you had cast it.

Mirror Dimension

11th-level Crystal Hand feature

You can tap into dimensions that mirror your own, folding and bending space around you to emulate the effects of various spells. On your turn, you can use your bonus action to emulate the effects of the mirror image, dimension door or banishment spells as if they had been cast at base level. Any saving throws made use your Ki save DC.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining expended uses when you complete a long rest.

Beyond the Mirror

17th-level Crystal Hand feature

You can see many worlds moving around you, and by attuning to their ebb and flow you can look into the near future to best dictate your actions. You can expend 3 uses of your mirror dimension feature to emulate the effects of the foresight spell, targeting yourself.

Crystal Egos

17th-level Crystal Hand feature

Whenever you reduce a living creature to 0 hit points or score a critical hit with a monk weapon or unarmed strike, you can shatter that creature’s sense of self temporarily, spending 1 ki points to create a spectral copy of them. This crystal ego resembles the original creature except made of fractal, gemstone-like segments, and remains in your presence for 10 minutes (occupying no space, able to pass through solid matter as if it were incorporeal).

At any time when you would take damage from a weapon attack or spell you are aware of, you can choose to have any number of your egos be destroyed to absorb 3d10 points of the damage for you each.

Furthermore, while a crystal ego is under your sway you can command it to speak, gesture, or take any actions the original would have been capable of, but it cannot produce language or information you were not familiar with and cannot attack, take reactions or cast spells. You can have the crystal ego move up to 60 feet away from you. If it moves farther it is immediately destroyed.
