Way of Tooth and Claw

Lycaeon was the second king of Arcadia who fathered fifty sons and later went on to establish Arcadia’s towns and cities. He founded a cult dedicated to Zeus, but decided to test his deity. When Zeus showed up at his doorstep, Lycaeon cooked up one of his own sons as a dish. Zeus detected the ruse and as punishment, turned him into a wolf. He also called down lightning upon Lycaeon’s house. But that didn’t stop Lycaeon’s sons, who kept on cannibalizing the locals and sacrificing them in attempts to halt the slaughter of their livestock by wolves. The monks are known as Lukoi and the high priests are Alpha Lukoi, master shapeshifters that are deadly fighting machines in wolf form.

Worry and Rend

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can use your claws and teeth as an unarmed strike. Whenever you hit a creature with a bite or claw attack as one of your Flurry of Blows, you can impose one of the following effects on that target:

  • It must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
  • You attempt to grapple the target as a bonus action. You have advantage on your Strength (Athletics) check.
  • It can’t take reactions until the end of your next turn.
  • It must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of your next turn.

Lethal Claws and Jaws

At 6th level, you extend your ki into your natural attacks, granting you the following benefits.

  • Magic Natural Weapons. Your attacks with your natural weapons count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
  • Deft Strike. When you hit a target with a natural weapon attack, you can spend 1 ki point to cause the attack to deal extra damage to the target equal to your Martial Arts die. You can use this feature only once on each of your turns.

Sharpen Nail and Fang

At 11th level, you gain the ability to augment your natural weapons further with your ki. As a bonus action, you can expend up to 3 ki points to grant one claw or bite attack a bonus to attack and damage rolls when you attack with it. The bonus equals the number of ki points you spent. This bonus lasts for 1 minute or until you use this feature again.

Pact Tactics

At 17th level, you can work with your pack to take down an enemy. Whenever a creature within 5 feet of you is hit by an attack made by an ally, you can use your reaction to make a melee attack against that creature.
