  • Bonding. The adar llwch gwin can magically bond with one creature it can see, immediately after spending at least 1 hour observing that creature while within 30 feet of it. The bond lasts until the adar llwch gwin bonds with a different creature or until the bonded creature dies. While bonded, the adar llwch gwin and the bonded creature can communicate telepathically with each other at a distance of up to 100 feet.
  • Dive Attack. If the adar llwch gwin is flying and dives at least 30 feet toward a target and then hits with a bite attack, the attack deals an extra 9 (2d8) damage to the target.
  • Keen Sight. The adar llwch gwin has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.
  • Flyby. The adar llwch gwin doesn’t provoke opportunity attacks when it flies out of an enemy’s reach.
  • Pack Tactics. The adar llwch gwin has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the adar llwch gwin’s allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn’t incapacitated.

  • Multiattack. The adar llwch gwin makes three attacks: one with its Beak and two with its Claws.
  • Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage.
  • Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d4 + 4) slashing damage.

The adar llwch gwin is an imposing griffin with magnificent plumage. With a span of over 15 feet, its wings are a striking mix of deep and iridescent hues, reminiscent of aged wine and dusk. Its feathers glisten like fine dust, giving the creature an ethereal appearance. Its sharp beak and talons are deadly weapons, gleaming with an ominous, light.

Adar llwch gwin (ah-DAR-woch-GWIN) are creatures often associated with powerful figures and fateful events. Legends depict them as both guardians and harbingers of doom, a duality mirrored by their alignment with neutrality. These creatures are known to inhabit remote and elevated regions, from craggy mountains to hidden valleys.

The adar llwch gwin is smarter than it looks but not so smart that it can interpret commands freely. More than one master it has bonded with has fallen victim to these strictly interpreted commands, in which the adar llwch gwin ended up attacking its master instead of an intruder.

The adar llwch gwin is a formidable hunter, employing its keen sight to spot prey from great distances. They prefer to swoop down from above, utilizing their Flyby ability to strike and retreat quickly, evading retaliation. These griffins are known for their exceptional coordination, often hunting in groups to take advantage of their Pack Tactics ability.
