Special Traits

  • Incorporeal Movement. The bright mote can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. It takes 5 (1d10) force damage if it ends its turn inside an object.
  • Radiant Form. The bright mote’s armor class is equal to 10 + its Dexterity modifier + its Charisma modifier (already included above). Additionally, it sheds bright light to a radius of 20 feet, and dim light for another 20 feet.
  • Redeeming Light. If a wraith or specter is slain by radiant damage dealt by the bright mote, the bright mote dies, and both the mote’s and the slain creature’s soul can pass on to the afterlife.

Actions

  • Searing Touch. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 18 (4d8) radiant damage. If the target is undead or a fiend, it must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw, or its hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the damage taken. This reduction lasts until the creature finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its hit point maximum to 0.
