ACTIONS

  • Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (3d8+3) piercing damage.
  • Spit Acid (Recharge 5-6). The death worm spits acid in an 30-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 14 (4d6) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Death worms are immune to their own acid and that of other death worms.
  • Spit Lightning (Recharge 5-6): The death worm exhales lightning in an 20-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 10 (3d6) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

ABOUT

These solitary horrors burrow among the rock of the cliff walls eating the deposits of meteoritic iron and metallurgic amber that they find. They are fiercely territorial and immediately attack any that intrude into their area. Like the combusted of the region, a death worm’s lightning spit is infused with the radiation of metallurgic amber and bypasses ordinary lightning resistance. Its acid spit is not affected in this way.
