Special Traits

  • Immutable Form. The Fatberg is immune to any effect that would alter its form or shape.
  • Release the Grease. A Fatberg is immune to difficult terrain. Additionally, all squares within 10 feet of the Fatberg are coated with slick grease. This functions as the Grease spell (DC 16.)

  • Multiattack. The Fatberg may make two Wormling Tendril Attacks.
  • Wormling Tendril. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (3d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage and the target is grappled (Escape DC 18). Having a target grappled does not affect the number of attacks a Fatberg may make in a round.
  • Engulf. The Fatberg moves up to its speed. While doing so, it can enter Huge or smaller creatures’ spaces. Whenever the Fatberg enters a creature’s space, the creature must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw. On a successful save, the creature can choose to be pushed 5 feet back or to the side of the Fatberg. A creature that chooses not to be pushed suffers the consequences of a failed saving throw. On a failed save, the Fatberg enters the creature’s space, and the creature takes 15 (3d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage and is engulfed. The engulfed creature can’t breathe, is restrained, and takes 15 (5d6) acid and 15 (5d6) bludgeoning damage at the start of each of the Fatberg’s turns. When the Fatberg moves, the engulfed creature moves with it. An engulfed creature can try to escape by taking an action to make a DC 18 Strength check. On a success, the creature escapes and enters a space of its choice within 5 feet of the Fatberg.

Bonus Actions

  • Crush. All creatures currently Grappled by the Fatberg must make a DC 18 Strength Saving Throw or take 17 (4d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage.

  • Volatile Oils. When a Fatberg takes fire damage, it reacts violently and releases a burst of flame. The Fatberg releases a 25 foot cone of fire. Creatures in the cone take 20 (5d8) damage. They take half damage on a successful DC 18 Dexterity Saving throw.
