SPECIAL TRAITS

  • Aversion of Fire. If the golem takes fire damage, it has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks until the end of its next turn.
  • Constructed Nature. The golem doesn’t require air, food, drink, or sleep.
  • Immutable Form. The golem is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form.
  • Magic Resistance. The golem has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
  • Magic Weapons. The golem’s weapon attacks are magical.

ACTIONS

  • Multiattack. The golem makes two melee attacks or two ranged attacks.
  • Handaxe. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) slashing damage.

REACTIONS

  • Sticky Wood. When a creature misses the wood golem with a melee weapon attack from a slashing or piercing weapon, it sticks in the golem’s wooden core. The attacker must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw, or the weapon becomes stuck to the wood golem’s body. If the weapon’s wielder can’t or won’t let go of the weapon, the wielder is grappled while the weapon is stuck. While stuck, the weapon can’t be used. A creature can pull the weapon free by taking an action to make a DC 13 Strength check and succeeding.

ABOUT

This animated wooden statue appears as a tribal chief.

These animated golems are often set as guardians of smoking shops. They are quite proud of their appearance and expect to be addressed accurately; some have named themselves and altered their wood to reflect their names.
