Razor-sharp ice caltrops cover the ground in a 20-foot radius centered on a point within range. For the duration, the area becomes difficult ground. In addition, any creature that moves through the area must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw. On failed save, the creature takes 2d6 piercing and 1d6 cold damage.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the piercing and cold damage increase by 1d6 for each slot above first.
