Special Traits

  • Quiet of the Grave. While in areas of dim light or darkness, the murderer can take the Hide action as a bonus action.
  • Sneak Attack (1/Turn). The murderer deals an extra 10 (3d6) damage when it hits a target with a weapon attack, and has advantage on the attack roll, or when the target is within 5 feet of an ally of the murderer that isn’t incapacitated, and the murderer doesn’t have disadvantage on the attack roll.


  • Multiattack. The murderer can use its Dreadful Glare and makes one attack with its Cursed Knife.
  • Cursed Knife. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 3 (1d4 + 1) piercing damage, plus 7 (2d6) necrotic damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 11 Constitution saving throw, or be cursed with mummy rot.
  • Dreadful Glare. The murderer targets one creature it can see within 60 feet of it. If the target can see the murderer, it must succeed on a DC 10 Wisdom saving throw against this magic, or become frightened until the end of the murderer’s next turn. If the target fails the saving throw by 5 or more, it is also paralyzed for the same duration. A target that succeeds on the saving throw is immune to the Dreadful Glare of all mummies with a challenge rating of 3 or less for the next 24 hours.
