ABOUT

This large ox is covered in thick brown hair and is armed with a heavy pair of sharp, curving horns.

Like most fauna, the musk ox of the northern lands is an especially large and fierce variety. It stands about 5-1/2 feet high at the shoulder, and weighs more than 1,200 pounds.

Musk oxen of other lands tend to be shy creatures, but the musk ox is noted for its foul temper and sheer fighting instinct. Once a foe catches its attention, the musk ox does its level best to batter it to death with repeated charges and then stamp what’s left into bloody mire in the snow. They are especially aggressive when calves are present.
