Special Traits

  • Cadaverous Appearance. While the zombie is lying still, it is indistinguishable from a mundane decomposing corpse. It can still be detected by a detect evil and good spell, or similar magic.
  • Mindless Aggression. If the zombie uses the Dash action, and ends its movement within 5 feet of a creature, it can make a melee weapon attack against that creature as a bonus action. After making this attack, it can’t move any further on that turn.
  • Undead Fortitude. If damage reduces the zombie to 0 hit points, it must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 5 + the damage taken, unless the damage is radiant or from a critical hit. On a success, the zombie drops to 1 hit point instead.

Actions

  • Multiattack. The zombie makes two attacks: one with its slam, and one with its bite.
  • Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage.
  • Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage.
