Special Traits

  • Shapechanger. The werebear can use its action to polymorph into a Large bear-humanoid hybrid, or into a Large bear, or back into its true form, which is humanoid. Its statistics, other than its size and armor class, are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn’t transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.
  • Healing Hands. The werebear has a pool of healing power that allows it to restore up to 60 hit points. As an action, the werebear can touch a creature and draw any number of points from its healing power, restoring that many hit points to the creature. The werebear’s pool of healing power replenishes once it finishes a long rest.
  • Keen Smell. The werebear has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

Actions

  • Multiattack. The werebear makes two attacks with its claws or with its longsword.
  • Bite (Hybrid or Bear Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage, plus 4 (1d8) radiant damage. If the target is a humanoid, it must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, or be cursed with werebear lycanthropy.
  • Claws (Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) slashing damage, plus 4 (1d8) radiant damage.
  • Longsword (Humanoid or Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d8 + 5) slashing damage, or 10 (1d10 + 5) slashing damage, if wielded in two hands, plus 4 (1d8) radiant damage.
  • Large Longsword (Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) slashing damage, or 16 (2d10 + 5) slashing damage, if wielded in two hands, plus 4 (1d8) radiant damage.
