Special Traits

  • Cadaverous Appearance. While the zombie ox is lying still, it is indistinguishable from a mundane decomposing corpse. It can still be detected by a detect evil and good spell, or similar magic.
  • Charge. If the zombie ox moves at least 10 feet straight toward a target, and then hits it with a gore attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 7 (2d6) piercing damage.
  • Undead Fortitude. If damage reduces the zombie to 0 hit points, it must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 5 + the damage taken, unless the damage is radiant or from a critical hit. On a success, the zombie ox drops to 1 hit point instead.
