Bracelet of the Spectral Pug

This bracelet looks like a worn black leather dog collar. Although it doesn’t look flashy, wearing it feels like getting a hug from an old friend.

When you attune to the bracelet, Pugsley, the spectral pug, appears in an unoccupied space within 10 feet of you. He is invisible and inaudible to all creatures except you and creatures of your choice that you can see or hear.

Pugsley uses the statistics for a mastiff, except that he has 100 hit points, can’t attack, and has truesight out to 120 feet. Pugsley uses his movement to stay within 30 feet of you, and his walking speed changes to match your fastest speed. When a Small or larger creature that Pugsley doesn’t recognize comes within 30 feet of him, he alerts his master with a raspy bark.

When he drops to 0 hit points, he disappears. If you remain attuned to the bracelet until the next dawn, Pugsley reappears with a loud sneeze.

When you take a short rest, you can speak the bracelet’s command word to have Pugsley help soothe and revitalize allies. Creatures that pet Pugsley during the short rest instead gain the benefits of a long rest, as they listen to him sleep and gently snore. This property of the bracelet can’t be used again until the next dawn.
