Brand of the Black Rose

This brand has properties associated with six different entities. While attuned to the brand, you can use an action to place one of your hands over your heart and speak the name of one of the entities. When you do so, you gain that entity’s boon. A boon’s effect lasts until you gain a different entity’s boon.

Dellisair. This boon has 3 charges. You can use a bonus action and expend 1 charge to cast the misty step spell from the brand. This boon regains all expended charges when you finish a short or long rest.

Sora. This boon has 3 charges. When you or a friendly creature within 30 feet of you that you can see or hear are hit by an attack or must make a saving throw, you can use a reaction and expend 1 charge to grant the creature a +3 bonus to AC against the triggering attack or advantage on the saving throw. This boon regains all expended charges when you finish a short or long rest.

Gehrman. When you select this boon, choose one of the following benefits: your Strength score becomes 30 for 1 minute, or your Strength score becomes 25 for 10 minutes. This boon has no effect on you if your Strength is equal to or higher than the chosen score. Once this property has been used, it can’t be used again until the next dawn.

Discord. This boon has 1 charge. You can use an action and expend 1 charge to cast the fireball spell as a 5th-level spell from the brand (save DC 15). The spell is cast using the Careful Spell Metamagic option and uses your Charisma modifier to determine the number of protected creatures (minimum of one creature). If this boon has no charges, roll d100 daily at dawn. On a roll of 1—35, this boon regains all expended charges.

Creza. When you select this boon, you cast the telepathic bond spell from the brand. The duration of the spell increases to 8 hours for target creatures that are attuned to a brand of the black rose. Once this property has been used, it can’t be used again until the next dawn.

Randier. Your Charisma score increases by 2, as does your maximum for that score. Additionally, you have advantage on Charisma checks and Charisma saving throws.
