Cloak of Dark Despair

Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)

This dark cloak makes the wearer nearly invisible in the shadows.

Fashioned from dark grey or black cloth, this cloak grants you advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks.

Once per long rest, you may throw off the cloak and toss it into the air as an action. The cloak dissolves and creates a disheartening darkness spell effect where the cloak is thrown (within 10 feet). Doing so removes the cloak and its benefit to your Dexterity (Stealth) checks.

At the end of the spell’s duration the cloak reforms around your neck. If you are wearing another magic cloak or similar magic item at that time, the cloak instead reforms on the ground where it was thrown.
