Cloak of the Drifter

Wondrous item, common

This hooded and unassuming brown cloak appears mundane, common, and slightly traveled. With the cloak’s hood pulled over their head, the wearer’s voice, mannerisms, and features become more generalized and ambiguous by the surrounding population’s standards. In this form, the wearer gains advantage on Deception checks as long as the disguise is nonspecific; it does not apply when attempting to impersonate a particular creature. This bonus does not stack with any effects that alter physical appearance.

Anyone viewing the wearer with the hood up cannot gain any Perception check bonus or advantage from familiarity to see through the disguise. Additionally, the wears gains advantage on Stealth checks made while hiding in a crowd of non-hostile humanoids or similar intelligent creatures.
