Cloak of the Unseen

Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)

This cloak, found in the chambers of the diplomat Atrus, is the personal cloak of the infamous Assassin Mage Ruz, known to most only as The Unseen Death.

This charcoal satin and woolen cloak seems to actively divert attention elsewhere. The cloak changes size and appearance and adapts to the elements. While wearing this cloak, your clothing takes on an illusory appearance of your choice, and you may alter superficial aspects of your appearance such as grooming or hair color, though you are still recognizable as you. You have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) and Charisma (Deception) checks to go unnoticed.

This cloak has 12 charges. Each night at midnight the cloak regains 1d4+1 charges. You can expend charges to create the following effects: 2 charges: As an action, you create magical darkness, as the spell, but with a radius of 20 feet, and it does not impair your vision. It lasts for a duration of 10 minutes, or until you use an action to dismiss it.

2 charges: As a bonus action, you teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space that you can see, as the spell misty step.

4 charges: You becomes invisible for 1 minute, as greater invisibility. Anything you are wearing or carrying is invisible as long as it is on your person.

Attuning this item requires that it be held under the night sky, or in an area of darkness.
