Coffer of Riches

Wondrous item, uncommon

This sturdy coffer holds 1 cubic foot of material and keeps it well protected from harm or opening. As a bonus action, you can speak a password when closing the box, sealing it as arcane lock until dispelled or the password is spoken again.

In addition, as a bonus action while the box is closed you can speak a second password, disguising the contents of the box with an illusion of coins, jewels, and similar valuables (apparent value 1d4 x 100 gp). The treasures look and sound real and the box’s weight shifts if the treasures are moved about, but nothing can be removed from the box. You gain advantage on Charisma (Deception) or (Persuasion) checks related to bribery or convincing others that you have access to wealth while showing off the coffer of riches.

You can offer the treasures in the box to an adjacent humanoid creature with Intelligence 7 or higher. If the target fails a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw, it is charmed for as long as you concentrate on enticing it with the treasure (up to 1 minute). While charmed, the target is incapacitated with greed and has a speed of 0.

The charm immediately ends if the target takes damage or an ally uses an action to shake it out of its stupor. After using this ability, you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest.
