Daystar Plate

Armor (half-plate), very rare

This gleaming half-plate armor has a high golden gorget and elaborate pauldrons and belt like golden wings. It grants the wearer a +1 bonus to AC and also grants the wearer advantage on saving throws to avoid being blinded. As a bonus action, the wearer can command the armor to shed light as a torch.

In addition, as an action the wearer can cause the armor to glow as a daylight spell for 1 hour; this ability cannot be used again until the wearer completes a long rest.

If an attack reduces the wearer to 0 hit points, as a reaction the wearer can unleash a blast of sunlight at that attacker as long as they are within 60 feet. The attacker takes 6d8 radiant damage, or half as much on a successful DC 15 Constitution saving throw and is blinded for 1 round on a failed save. If the attacker i s within 10 feet, the wearer can choose to unleash this blast of radiance in a 10-footradius sphere centered on themselves.

This sunburst affects all creatures other than the wearer within the area.
