This sleek, steel-tined +1 trident can be commanded to lengthen or shorten itself (or return to its normal length) as a bonus action. When shortened, the fighter’s fork can be wielded as a +1 javelin, and if thrown it returns to your hand at the end of your turn. While when extended, it cannot be thrown and functions as a +1 pike. The fighter’s fork cannot be extended if there is not enough room for its new length. It exerts no significant force on creatures or objects in its path.
