Foresight Scroll

Scroll, rare (requires attunement)

This pristine parchment allows you to empty your mind in a trancelike state when you complete a long rest, during which your unconscious mind guides your hand to write for 1 minute. Afterwards, you can study your writings and choose one of the following benefits, which you can invoke once at any point until you complete your next long rest.

  • Foresight: You gain insight into a decision you must make, as if you had cast augury.
  • Borrowed Fortune: You gain advantage on a single attack roll, ability check, or saving throw. After using this ability, you gain misfortune on the two types of die rolls you did not choose. Each time you make such a die roll, there is a 50% chance you will have disadvantage on that roll.

Once you have disadvantage twice, your misfortune ends.

Once your make your choice, the foresight scroll becomes blank once more and can be used again the next time you complete a long rest.
