Glassee Gloves

Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement)

These lightweight silken gloves allow you to touch a solid object made of metal, stone, or wood and cause it to become transparent in one direction. Any creature with line of sight to the transparent object can see through it, not just you. Creatures on the other side of the transparent object do not perceive any change in it. Vision into the area thus revealed is dependent on the level of illumination in that area, so an area in bright light can be easily examined while one in darkness cannot (save by those with darkvision), but when looking through the transparent object viewers can always see the area within 5 feet as if it were in dim light. The target object can be up to 5 feet wide and 5 feet high, and up to one foot thick for stone or wood, or one inch thick for metal. You can make thicker or larger objects transparent by maintaining contact with the object’s surface, using a standard action each round to either increase the affected area by an additional 5-foot square or increasing the depth of the effect by an additional foot (or inch, for metal). If you lose contact with the transparent surface, it returns to normal at the end of your next turn. You can use the glassee gloves for up to 10 rounds per day; this duration need not be continuous.
