Globe of Accord

Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement)

This 4-inch glass sphere is often mistaken for a crystal ball. When you hold it and concentrate upon it, you know the identity of anyone else within 100 miles who is attuned to a globe of accord (but not their locations or any other details regarding them). As your action, you can attempt to initiate a verbal and visual conversation with another creature attuned to a globe. If they accept, you can communicate with them by looking and speaking through the globe. If they refuse, no connection happens.

Communication can last as long as the parties are willing, conscious, and within range. Anyone near you can hear but not see who you are talking with. Spells and magical effects cannot be transmitted through a globe of accord.

Magical barriers (such as a wall of force) may interfere with the globe’s communication.
