Grappler’s Mask

Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a character with the martial arts class ability)

This wildly decorated mask covers your face but leaves your mouth and eyes uncovered. Its dark leather decorated with geometrical patterns emphasizes your fearsomeness. You gain a +1 bonus on Strength (Athletics) checks made to Grapple or Shove a target, and on Strength (Athletics) checks made to resist being Grappled or Shoved.

In addition, when you successfully Grapple or Shove a creature, as a bonus action you can deal bludgeoning damage equal to your Martial Arts damage die plus your Strength bonus. After using this ability, you cannot use it again until after you have completed a short rest.
