This is a +1 greataxe that unlocks its true potential in the hands of a paladin. If you have the Lay on Hands class ability, as a bonus action you can spend 10 hit points from your pool of healing to gain the ability to attack one additional time than you normally can whenever you take the Attack action until the end of your turn. This extra attack can only be used against a creature that damaged you since the end of your previous turn. If that creature scored a critical hit against you since the end of your previous turn, you also deal an extra 2d6 radiant damage against that creature until the end of your turn.
