Isen’s Shadow Realm Longbow

Weapon (longbow), legendary (requires attunement)

Crafted from the twisted horns of a dark titan, this bow pulses with the ominous power of the Shadow Realm.

Dormant. The longbow grants the following benefits in its dormant state:

• You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon
• When you make a ranged attack with this weapon, you can channel the essence of the Shadow Realm into the arrow. If the attack hits, it deals damage as the chill touch cantrip.

Awakened. When the longbow reaches an awakened state, it gains the following properties:

• The weapon’s bonus to attack and damage rolls increases to +2.
• The longbow has 3 charges and regains all expended charges daily at midnight.
• When you make a ranged attack with this weapon, you can use a bonus action and expend 1 charge to merge your form with the fired arrow as it flies towards the target. If the attack hits, you teleport to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the target. Otherwise, you teleport to the space where the arrow lands or in the nearest unoccupied space if that space is occupied.
• When you make a ranged attack with this weapon, you can expend 1 charge to cast the darkness spell at the point where the arrow lands. In addition, you can see through magical darkness created by this effect.

Exalted. When the longbow reaches an exalted state, it gains the following properties:

• The weapon’s bonus to attack and damage rolls increases to +3.
• You can use a bonus action on your turn to assume the form of a titan from the Shadow Realm. The transformation lasts for 1 minute, or until you drop to 0 hit points or die. Your size changes to Large, if it isn’t already. If there isn’t enough room for your new size, you attain the maximum possible size in the space available.

While transformed, you have resistance to necrotic and cold damage, and bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. In addition, you have advantage on attack rolls made with the longbow while in an area of dim light or darkness. This property can’t be used again until you finish a short or long rest while attuned to the longbow.
