Lever of Harmony

Weapon (club or quarterstaff), very rare (requires attunement by a monk)

This plain, unadorned rod of wood can be wielded as either a club or quarterstaff, and it can extend from 3 feet to 6 feet long at your command as a bonus action. You gain +1 on attack and damage rolls with this magic weapon in either form, and while you are wielding it, you gain a +1 bonus to AC and the save DC of your ki abilities increases by +1.

On a critical hit, in addition to the usual additional damage, you may choose to either deal an additional 4d6 bludgeoning damage to the target or to make a Strength (Athletics) check to Shove the target as a free action.

The lever of harmony is an excellent tool for improving your balance and leverage, granting you advantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) or Strength (Athletics) checks made to jump or to avoid falling prone. In addition, whenever you make a Strength (Athletics) check to Shove an opponent, avoid being Shoved, or to Escape from a grapple, as a bonus action you can use the lever of harmony to gain advantage on your check.
