Manticore Boots

Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement by a fighter or rogue)

These steel-toed boots are covered in heraldry of orange-red manticores.

Radiates: Transmutation magic.

Powers:

  • You negate the first level of exhaustion you take per day.
  • You gain advantage on Strength (Athletics) and Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks that apply to climbing or jumping.
  • You gain manticore leap as an action or reaction. You can use it to jump a distance up to your normal walking speed + an extra 10 feet per point of your Strength or Dexterity modifier (whichever is higher). You may use this power a number of times per day equal to your proficiency bonus.
  • You gain manticore spike as an action or reaction. Spikes emerge from the steel toes of your boots. Make an immediate melee kick attack against an adjacent creature. If you hit, it takes 1d8 piercing damage and is poisoned until the end of its next turn (no save). You may use this power twice per encounter (once per boot).
