Mask of Quiahuitl

Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a cleric or paladin who serves Quiahuitl)

This stylized mask of lacquered ebon wood has long fangs and wide eyehole carvings that make the wearer appear to have oversized, bulging eyeballs. The mask is topped with an elaborate headdress made from heron feathers. While wearing the mask, you can see through a lightly or heavily obscured area caused by foul weather such as fog, rain, sleet, wind, and other forms of precipitation. As an action, you can use the mask to gaze at a creature you can see within 30 feet. The target of your gaze must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed saving throw, the creature is either frightened for one minute or affected by a command spell (your choice). After using the mask three times in this manner, you cannot do so again until the next dawn.
