Mother’s Fang

Weapon (club), legendary (requires attunement)

Mother was an ancient gold dragon who was ambushed by a rival black dragon while protecting her youngling.

She fought valiantly and gravely injured the black dragon known as Doomsblood.

Doomsblood managed to escape, and he fled to his lair to hide in solitude. Although Mother’s child survived, Mother herself did not. She spent her last remaining moments of life using her magical essence to feed her child until he was strong enough to survive on his own. Her bones were discovered thousands of years later. Part of her bottom jawbone with two giant fangs was harvested and shaped into this powerful club.

You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. Additionally, if you have the Rage class feature from the barbarian class and attune to this weapon, the dying rage of Mother bonds to your own and increases your rage’s bonus to damage rolls by 3.

Your Strength score is 23 while you hold this weapon. You do not benefit from this effect if your Strength is 23 or higher without it.

The club has two fangs that protrude from its surface. While holding it, you can use a bonus action to swing the club and launch one of its fangs as a ranged weapon attack, hurling the fang as if it had the thrown property with a normal range of 30 feet and a long range of 60 feet. If the attack hits, it deals 1d8 plus your Strength modifier piercing damage. If you have the Rage class feature from the barbarian class and are raging, you also add your rage’s bonus to damage to this attack’s damage roll. The club regrows any missing fangs daily at dawn.
