Quill of Verification

Wondrous item, uncommon

This swan-feather quill helps its wielder verify signatures. The wielder can store a signature in the quill as an action by pressing the quill into the signature and speaking a command word. She can then tap the quill’s tip on another signature to check if it was written by the same individual, glowing blue if it matches. You can switch the stored signature any number of times in between uses of the verification ability. A quill of verification has a maximum of 3 charges, and it regains 1d3 charges each day at dawn.

A highly skilled forger may be able to fool the quill of verification with a successful DC 21 Intelligence check to forge a document.
