Runeplates

Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement by a sorcerer, warlock, or wizard)

An alchemist discovered the tradition of creating small magical ceramic plates about 1 inch long and half an inch wide. You wear these by tying them individually to your fingers, one on each segment, so that each finger has three and there are thirty worn, forming something similar to a set of finger-gauntlets. The runeplates make you a better arcane spellcaster. As a bonus action, you can activate either of the following effects.

  • For one spell you cast this round, your spell save DC and spell attack bonus each increase by 1. Once you use this ability, you can’t do so again until the next dawn.
  • For one spell you cast this round, increase its spell slot level by 1. Once you use this ability, you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
