Each of these dragon scales is the size of a human hand. There are known to be five varieties, each corresponding to one of the metallic dragons (brass, bronze, copper, gold, and silver). Engraved upon them, in draconic, is a command word. When the command word is spoken, the user acquires one of the bloodline manifestations appropriate to the scale that is used. This ability is randomly determined each time the item is used from the following table, but every manifestation lasts for ten minutes.
