Shifter’s Sorrow

This sturdy longsword of cold-wrought iron grants the wielder a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls. In addition, its touch burns the flesh of any creature with the shapechanger trait, dealing an additional 1d8 slashing damage in addition to the sword’s normal damage. Creatures using magic or an innate ability to change their shape, including druids using wild shape or characters using polymorph, alter self, enlarge/reduce, or similar spells, also take this additional damage and must make on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw each time they are struck by shifter’s sorrow. On a failed save, they are forced to return to their natural form and the effect changing their shape is ended.
