Staff of the First Labyrinth

Staff, very rare (requires attunement)

You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

When you hit a creature with the staff, you can choose to banish it to an extradimensional labyrinth unless it succeeds on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw. The creature remains trapped in the labyrinth for the duration (concentration, up to 1 minute) or until it escapes the maze. The target can make a DC 15 Intelligence (Investigation) check as an action to attempt to escape the labyrinth. If it succeeds, it escapes and the spell ends (a minotaur automatically succeeds). When the effect ends, the creature reappears in the space it left or, if that space is occupied, in the nearest unoccupied space. When you use this property of the staff, it can’t be used again until the next sunrise.
