Stanching Plate

Armor (medium), rare (requires attunement)

This black armor is decorated with spikes and always seems bloodstained, no matter how often it is polished. This +1 half plate grants you resistance against damage from any blood drain attack (such as that of a stirge) and against the necrotic damage dealt by the bite attack of undead creatures.

You gain a +1 bonus on death saves while wearing the stanching plate, and if you are brought to 0 hit points by blood drain or necrotic damage, you have advantage on death saves.

If a creature deals blood drain damage to you, as a reaction you can reverse the flow of blood and cause that creature to take as many hit points of blood drain damage as they deal to you.

After using this ability, you cannot use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
