Thornfist

Wondrous item, unique (requires attunement by a barbarian, druid, or ranger)

These green leather gloves have an embossed bramble pattern on them. The knuckle guards sport wicked red-tipped thorns.

Radiates: Conjuration and transmutation.

Powers:

  • You are immune to thorns and ignore difficult terrain containing them.
  • Your unarmed strikes with these gloves are considered finesse and magic weapons; you deal 1d4 bludgeoning damage + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (whichever is higher) + 1d6 poison damage.
  • You gain a thorn spray cone attack with a 30 foot range. Any creatures caught in the cone are hit by the explosive burst of red thorns flying from your open palms. They take 1d6 piercing damage + 1d6 poison damage. They must make a Dexterity saving throw or be poisoned. The saving throw DC equals 8 + your Dexterity or Wisdom modifier (whichever is higher) + your proficiency bonus. If they fail, they may make a new save each round to negate the poisoned condition. Creatures in light or no armor save with disadvantage against thorn spray. Creatures in heavy armor, or those who have poison resistance, have advantage on this saving throw. You may use thorn spray a number of times per day equal to your proficiency bonus.
