Thyrsus Staff

Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement by a spellcaster)

A thyrsus staff is a branch of fennel wrapped in ivy and topped with a pinecone. It is typically associated with the Greek god Dionysus or the Roman god Bacchus.

The thyrsus staff is a symbol of hedonism and fertility. Those who wield the staff are loved by all and bring joy and merriment to the world around them. While wielding this staff, you can use an action to cast the charm person or animal friendship spell with it (DC 15). Once you use this ability, you cannot use it again until you take a short or long rest.
