Tiger’s Fang

Weapon (javelin), rare

This +1 javelin is tipped with a head carved from the fang of a saber-toothed tiger, enchanted to be as hard as steel, as is the shaft of striped wood. As an action, it can be commanded to transform into a dagger or spear, retaining its other magical properties in each form and returning to its normal form 1 minute later. Whenever you throw a tiger’s fang at an opponent, it returns to your hand at the end of your turn.

A tiger’s fang is especially deadly against feline creatures, including part-feline humanoids, monstrosities, and beasts such as catfolk, lamias, manticores, sphinxes, and weretigers (in any form, including their humanoid form), dealing an additional damage die against such foes and scoring a critical hit on a natural 19 or 20.

It also grants you a vicious cunning in battle against any foe you have wounded or that has wounded you since your last long rest, granting you a +1 bonus to

Armor Class and saving throws against them. These bonuses disappear after your next long rest.
