Tracking Bug

Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement)

This tiny metallic disk is in the shape of an ant. You can place it on a creature without them noticing by making an opposed Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) ability check versus the creature’s Wisdom (Perception) ability check. Once placed on a creature, it magically adheres to the target for up to 24 hours before becoming inert, unattuning to you, and falling off.

As an action at any point, you can attempt to learn the location of the tracking bug as if you had cast locate object with the exception that you can track its movements as long as it is within 5 miles of you.
